1099 Lake Road Hertford NC.

Yes, I know where the track is and have never had any trouble finding it. In fact, I can do most of the trip with my eyes closed. Here is the thing, though. I sometimes use my GPS, just in case there is some problem in the road and need an alternate route. What I have discovered is that 1099 Lake Road is apparently not the actual location of the track. According to my GPS, I have "arrived at my destination" well before I actually do. I cannot even see the track from where it says I have arrived.

My first thought was that it was my old GPS unit just doing what GPS will do. Then I looked on Google Maps. Google maps says that 1099 Lake Road is incorrect also. A much closer address is 992 Lake Road. Ever try it?

The address of 1099 Lake Road is Curtis Trueblood's shop, which is where his first house is. It is about a 1/4 mile from the track and you can see the track from there. He uses that address to get mail either for his home or business without having to put a mailbox at the track. I will try my GPS and see what it says when I have "arrived", even though my truck I believe would drive straight to the track by itself without any input from me. LOL

My GPS today said I "arrived" at 1099 Lake Road, which is Curtis Truebloods house where he resides now. This is his second house, as the first one is the next house down with a small field in between. The first house is where his shop and wrecker service is. The first house was also was known as 1099 Lake Road. When he moved a little further down the road (closer to the track) they had that changed to the same address so his mail would come there for his personal mail and business mail. That still doesn't answer why your GPS showed it differently, and for that I have no answer. If someone enters into Lake Road from the opposite end from the one you come from you can see the track, because it is only maybe a 1/4 mile.

OK. That clears it up then. There is something wrong with your GPS.

We had a shower and had to dry the track, but got it done just before the next shower came. If your GPS fails you again, just call me and I can direct you the rest of the way to the track. LOL
