I heard John Sundstrom won the race and still find time to start the upgrades on Cheryl's car.
Just glad he came out ok!

Congratulations to Robbie Doughty on his run to the semi finals at VMP driving Shawn Arledges ride. I understand he had a 4.900 which would have given him a semi final bye run to the finals. However some rule about being the #1 qualifier gave it to someone else. I do not know the results on any other NED drivers but I am sure they made an awsome showing!!! Good job!!!. |

Yep, John Sundstrom won and Jimmy Williams was runner up. Northeast had a great showing, fielding 7 of the 17 cars I think. And we had the last 3 cars standing. |

Yes ,the N.E. drivers picked up lots of wins with the #1 qualifer money in both 4.90 & 5.90,with John Sundstrom winning and Jimmy Williams runner-up . And with Jimmy going dead on the last 3 rounds !!! WOW

Thanks for the kind words. It was a great race for sure. In terms of the bye run, we were on a ladder very similar to what the pro classes run in nhra. Since jimmy was the #1 qualifier, the bye was in that section on the ladder. He earned it for sure, running 4.90's all day long. I would like to thank Jimmy Williams as he was kind enough to let us borrow a set of carbs. I really appreciate it Jimmy. As always I have to thank the Arledge family for letting me drive their car. Looking forward to the first NE index race of the year. Hopefully we can pull out a few more 4.900's |
