Good Afternoon,
Currently, there is a Street Class with points; however, on 4/8/2017 only one person signed up for points. (That would be me). If there is participation in Street Class on 5/27/17, then we can keep the Street Class with points.
The Street Class provides many benefits: 1.) It is a very flexible class. 2.) There is no minimum speed requirement. 3.) Drivers can be of any experience level. 4.) It is an economical class. (The points fee, entry fees, and Buy Backs are less than other classes) 5.) The class is normally small with more chances to win. At this time, there is a purse and trophies for first and second place. 6.) The car type does not matter as long as it meets requirements such as: *Car is in good working order and no leaks *No slicks *Mufflers required *Need a helmet *(Please see Tech Booth for additional rules.)
Street Class is important because it allows an opportunity for folks to race that may not have otherwise had a chance.
What to do if you are interested: **On 5/27/17, go to the main gate and sign up to race in Street Class with points.
If there are enough participants then we can keep the class.
Thank you. Bubble Gum

I feel your pain. When I arrived on the first points day in April, I was shocked that there was not more participation in Street points. It is an outstanding eliminator. Definitely the best approach to keep the cost of competing down. I think it is entirely possible that even the folks who came and ran did not know about racing for points or the end of the year banquet. Take care. Tom Worthington

I couldn't make the first race but I am pretty sure I will be there for the rest of them. So I will sign up for points at that time.

Good Evening,
I am happy to report there will be a Street Class with points for 2017. BIG Thank You to those who signed up yesterday for Street points. With your support, we are able to continue the class.
This class has a lot of opportunity and flexibility for all types of vehicles and drivers regardless of experience. I think the class provides an important avenue that allows people to race that would not otherwise be able to.
To those who may not have been able to make it yesterday but would still like to participate in points, there will be another points race on 6/24/2017. It is not too late to sign up.
Based on a few calls received in recent weeks, there may be a few folks who are thinking of trying the sport for the first time or may not be able to yet (i.e. car not quite ready). Please feel free to call or stop by the trailer and I would be happy to talk about racing.
Thanks again to all who participated in Street Class yesterday. Special Thanks to the Truebloods who gave the class a second chance.
It is greatly appreciated.

Yes thanks for giving the street class another shot. Kevin Gainer signed up for points last Sat and lost 2nd round. ST203 is his car number but he isn't shown in the results.
